HOW TO CONSUME & HOW MUCH?
How to find your "sweet spot", your personal dosage amount? We all have our own personal biochemical individuality, unique diets and health history. Due to this, there is no set dosage amount that is right for one or the other. It is always suggested to start out low and slow. Here is how we suggest finding your “sweet spot" aka your personal dosage amount:
Step 1: Make a list and take a self-inventory of yourself (how you feel mentally, emotionally, physically) Revisit this list every week or every few days.
Step 2: Take the drops twice a day directly under your tongue. Hold the oil under your tongue for as long as you can or for a minimum of 45 seconds. Swallow any remaining amounts. Letting the oil dissolve under your tongue allows it to absorb directly into your blood stream.
Step 3: Consistency is key! CBD oil, as we know, is plant based, therefore, it can take time for you to notice a difference and find your sweet spot. Monitor your list and how you are feeling week by week and gradually increase as needed. If after you have or maybe you haven't adjusted your drops and you feel great, then stay at that dosage amount, now you have found your sweet spot!
Can I give CBD oil to my pet: Yes, if your pet has a vertebrae (backbone), then it has an Endocannabinoid System. Of course just like yourself, start out low and slow. Check out our 250mg CBD for Pets Bacon Flavor!
Other ways to use CBD oil: You can apply the oil directly to the skin or a tooth. Let the oil absorb into the skin as much as possible prior to rubbing it in the skin. This is suggested for any areas you may be experiencing pain. Keep oil out of eyes, ears, nose and other sensitive regions.
How does this interact with other medications or supplements: Always consult a medical professional prior to using any supplement.
Can I take while pregnant or breastfeeding: Please consult your physician.
WHAT IS HEMP DERIVED CBD?
What is Hemp CBD: CBD stands for Cannabidiol. Cannabidiol is 1 of 85 different Cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. Simply put, Hemp CBD is cannabidiol derived from the hemp plant.
Is it legal? Yes. Hemp derived CBD is federally legal under the 2014 Farm Bill, it is classified as “industrial hemp" which means it has to be .3% or less THC by dry weight. 2018 Farm Bill, CBD is no longer considered a controlled substance and hemp has finally returned as a viable and critical crop for the United States. Check the laws of your state.
How our CBD is made: The leaves, flowers and stalks are CO2 extracted. CO2 is a natural compound that is all around us. Our bodies even produce it! CO2 extraction is the is the healthiest way to pull the oil from a plant. This is the same way essential oils and tea are extracted, as well as how coffee is decaffeinated. This process has been around for many of years.
Is Hemp CBD Oil the same as Hemp Seed Oil?: No. Hemp seed oil comes from the hemp seed only. Although, it is very nutritious and has similar health properties to fish oil, hemp seed oil has zero CBD.
What is the difference between Hemp and Marijuana: Both the hemp and marijuana plant come from the cannabis family but they are not the same plant. Marijuana is high in THC with lower amounts of CBD and hemp is high in CBD with very minimal amounts of THC. THC is what gives us the psychoactive feeling known as being “high”. Hemp derived CBD will not get you high and it does not come with the psychoactive properties like marijuana.
HOW CBD OIL HELPS US?
What is the Endocannabinoid System (ECS)? We know there are 11 organ systems in the human body consisting of the respiratory, reproductive, skeletal, nervous, endocrine, excretory, integumentary, lymphatic, muscular, digestive and circulatory but doctors and scientists have discovered a new system called the Endocannabinoid System. It is referred to as the ECS. The ECS is made up of CB1 and CB2 receptors. These receptors are found in our brain and in our bodies. The entire ECS system is made up of these receptors and the function of the receptors is to bring our bodies back to homeostasis. What is homeostasis? By definition, homeostasis refers to the characteristic of a system that maintains the balance and stability between the internal and external environment. For example, when you become hot and begin to sweat, thank your ECS for working to help cool you down.
The ECS helps to facilitate, control, and communicate between all 11 systems. The ECS helps the nervous system communicate to your endocrine system, endocrine talks to the reproductive system and so on. Cannabinoid receptors are the most prevalent found in our bodies. Research shows there are more CB1 and CB2 receptors in our body than serotonin and dopamine combined. Dysfunction in the ECS system will result in an inability to communicate and balance all the systems in our body. This is called ECS Deficiency.
What they have discovered is supplementation with phytocannabinoids (CBD oil), can help bring balance and restore the function of the ECS system. That is why CBD oil may help with so many things. CBD oil helps restore the body’s ability to communicate and regulate the functions/systems in the body. By supplementing our body with CBD oil, it helps regulate the systems to bring our bodies back to homeostasis. CBD oil helps our receptors work properly again and begins to balance our body.
